I just don't get this, everytime I see a magazine with a young women, fashion experts want them to look "mature" which I guess is okayyy but they pack soooo much make-up just to look like the young women is like...30 I guess. And I shouldn't even start with the clothing...! Then, for the more older women, they want them to look young!? WTF??? Now I get that fashion wants them to look "fresh" but then they put hair && clothes like... Well you get the point. I just don't understand, I feel young women should have their make-up look their age && have them look FRESH. For the older women, they should look their age too, MATURE. && mature doesn't mean you can't look fresh, just look your age.

the fashion world is way too complicated... i cant understand what gets a girl into modelling...some can look terrible and get there...then the age thing is just another way to stereotype people...theres older women looking absolutly stunning...

I agree with this. I hate when they have someone all done up and I find out that they are all of 13. Now as far as older women go if you age gracefully then fine but please leave the booty shorts to those that have no booty LOL.
It makes no sense at all..personally when I get older I want to look my age but not have my skin hanging off..if that's at all possible lol

Ditto!!! Not just in fashion too -- real life as well. I see all these young girls in the mall acting like they're so old with their clothes and hair styles and make up whereas older women pay an arm and a leg just to look like them (without the accoutrements of course). It is indeed a strange world!
It's as if everyone wants to be whatever it is they aren't. I really don't know why we can't just be comfy cozy in our own skin! Pretty soon we'll have little old blue haired ladies running around in blonde extensions.....waiting in line to get their eyelash implants! Arrrrggghh!
